Author: Andrea Difficulty: Beginner Time: 2 mins

Andy and I are going to see Lainey Wilson in concert! Hope and Glen generously gifted us tickets for my birthday back in the spring and we have been looking forward to this the last few months.
As Andy can attest to… I need to go all out for any occasion! This set me on a quest for the perfect outfit to match Lainey Wilson’s style. I’m going to be wearing her iconic bell bottom pants and cowboy hat... But I realized I didn’t have any accessories to go with the look!
I made these super easy and cute earrings to finalize my outfit! They have the perfect western touch especially with the imitation turquoise gems which are very on trend this year. Here is my tutorial on how you can make these exact same earrings very easily and affordably. This tutorial can also be used to inspire earrings of your own design! Happy Crafting!

Supplies Needed

STEP 1: Open the earring hook wire
Use your Chain Nose Jewelry Pliers to grab the open side of the earring loop. Guide the earring into the cut-out in your jump ring opener ring and twist.
If you're having trouble you can always use two sets of pliers - we recommend the flat nose jewelry pliers on one side, and the chain nose on the other!

STEP 2: Attach the Charm to the Earring Hook Wire
Add a pendant of your choosing to the opening you've created at the bottom of the earring hook. If you're using a one-sided pendant like ours you'll need to make sure its facing away from you so it hangs appropriately.

STEP 3: Close the Earring Hook Wire
This is the same as step 1, but a little bit more difficult... the charm loop on the wire will make it harder to grab the earring wire and close it. Work slowly - if you manage not to drop it you're a champion!
If you're stuck on this step you can always use a jump ring to connect the charm to the earring loop - the larger the jump ring, the easier it will be to open and close.

WOOHOO - You're Done!
You now know how to attach a charm to an earring hook, making great looking simple earrings.
