STEP 1: Open the Jump Ring

Put your ring opener tool on the finger it fits the best on. Angle the smaller cut-out so it's sitting at a 3 oclock position. Grab a jump ring with your pliers with the opening at the top. Put half the jump ring into the cut-out of the ring and twist using your pliers.

STEP 2: Attach the Charm to the Jump Ring

Loop the end of the open jump ring through the hole in the charm. No need to worry about which way the charm is facing yet - you can make sure you're getting it right in the next step.

STEP 3: Place the Chain in the Jump Ring

Take the chain and place it through the opening of the jump ring. As we're looking to have the charm hang loose on the chain, we're not putting the jump ring through a link of the chain.

STEP 4: Close the Jump Ring

This part can get tricky! As you keep a firm grasp on one side of the jump ring, put the other side through the opening in the ring and turn your pliers to bring the ends of the jump ring together.

This can be tricky - if you get this without dropping it at least once you're a natural!
